Schwarz Etienne is based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a city widely regarded as the watchmaking capital of Switzerland.
In 1902, Paul Arthur Schwarz and his wife Olga Etienne founded Schwarz Etienne. The company name is an amalgam of the founders’ surnames.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Schwarz Etienne developed its own brand and range of models, before eventually becoming a fully-fledged Manufacture.
In 2007, Raffaello Radicchi, a local entrepreneur with a passion for watchmaking, acquired Schwarz Etienne.
Schwarz Etienne is an independent producer of luxury watches, in-house movements and various movement components. Today, The Manufacture’s portfolio of exclusive timepieces unites tradition and modernity. Each creation harnesses Schwarz Etienne’s vast expertise and rigorous process controls.
Its modern atelier features state of the art machinery and produces virtually every movement component, including hairsprings, all to exacting standards.
The Maison is also synonymous with crafting fine timepieces, enriched with stones and other examples of métiers d’art.
