Telling someone how to do their job is always a delicate process- especially when that someone created the product or service you are trying to sell to your people. The intricate dance between telling HQ to follow your lead on your turf without hurting any feelings vs. telling your distributor they're maiming your product.
Brands, their incessant Guidelines and how they may be shooting themselves in the foot more often than not. When should a brand sit back and let the local distributor/retailer/market sell to their own people? When is it imperative they don’t?
